Brief reports of Tibetan Medicine consultation and lectures PDF Print E-mail

Brief reports of my two weeks medical consultation and lectures on Tibetan Medicine in Bangkok organized by SEM (12-17 may, 2007)

DR.Passang  Wangdu

During my fortnight stay in Bangkok, I consulted about 170 patients and had opportunity to share my little knowledge about Tibetan Medicine in three different place. The approximate nature of illness is as under :-

  • General weakness 40 %
  • High blood pressure & high cholesteral level 15 %
  • Renal disorder 10 %
  • Cardiac ploblem 5 %
  • Gastro - Intestinal disorder 15 %
  • And orther miscellaneous 15 %

During consulting each patient, I have tried my best to consult diet and lifestyle instruction in order to remain healthy forever according to their personal constitution.

In Thailand, most people suffers due to poor digestive heat, which is most essential part in Tibetan Medical Science. Due to hot weather, most people used to take icy water, icy coffee, icy juice and icy food - which temporarity gives relief but it is harmful in the long run. Taking too much spicy foods and non - vegetarian is also likely to harm our health.

I am very grateful for SEM in promoting health education and being concern towards Tibetan Medical Science which will definitely prove positive effects.

Before I stop here, I would also like to extend my heartfelt thankful to the organizing committee - Pi Aoy  La and Tenzin Losel La for being so kind and concerned during my stay in Bangkok.

May knowledge of health prevails in Thailand and may all free from physical & mental suffering.
