GLT Sangha: Empower monks and nuns in Siam & South-east
Asia
Buddhist monks and nuns are important leaders within the SEA communities. The
GLT Sangha is a training project helping monks and nuns realise their potential
as activists for social justice and ecological sustainability. Workshops relate
Buddhist principles to contemporary problems. Participants learn various ways
to engage with their local communities in addressing these problems. The courses
for the Thai participants are run by Thai Inter-religious Commission for Development
(TICD). Participants from neighbouring countries join courses run by SEM &
Wongsanit Ashram.
